The neck was approached through two incisions placed behind the ears and a small one below the chin. Although the face was not touched, a diligent surgeon can eliminate the jowls with this approach. Because the patient is only 15 days following her surgery, residual sweling is seen under the chin on profile view. This should dissipate with time.
