I have regretted not obtaining a pre-operative photograph of this patient WITHOUT the goatee to show an oblique neck line and the absence of any chin definition. During surgery, even a large sized implant failed to give the proper separation of chin from neck line prompting me to surgically divide transversely the upper neck muscles. The tucking of the released skin around the chin implant finally gave the proper distinct chin contour . A modest rhinoplasty completed the transformation.
